There are so many places to see in France that deciding where to go is difficult. So when a friend suggested a Bordeaux visit, I said, “When?!” Although I could have stayed much longer, the itinerary gave me 3 perfect days in Bordeaux. It gave me enough of a taste of the city: its wine, its culture, its history, and its beauty, to let me know I have to return again.

Bordeaux Guide Day 1: The Secrets of Great Wine Tour
The tour offered at that time by the Bordeaux Tourist Office, the “Secrets of Great Wine, ” included a walk through the Chartrons district and the Musée du Vin et du Négoce; lunch at a neighborhood cafe; a visit to the medieval town of Saint Emilion; and a wine-tasting tour of Château Haut-Veyrac — a Grand Cru vineyard.
