Why planning your next chapter matters if you are starting a new life in France
The Question That Changed Everything
When I first visited Uzès, I fell in love with it and knew I had to come back. After I retired, I returned for a summer stay, and everything fell into place for me to make it my home. I didn’t plan on starting a new life in France. It simply unfolded, one easy step at a time.
But I’ve learned something important since then:
not everyone will land as smoothly as I did.
If you’re thinking about starting a new life in France, you deserve more than luck. You deserve clarity and confidence.

Listening for What’s Missing
Before that summer in Uzès, I knew something in my life was ready for a change — but I couldn’t name it. That’s a common feeling as retirement approaches. You know you’re moving into a new season, but you’re not sure how to shape it.
Uzès helped me see what I wanted.
A plan would have helped me understand how to get there.
What feels exciting about this next chapter — and what feels uncertain?

Saying Yes Is Good. Having a Plan Is Better.
I trusted my instincts, and it worked. But starting a new life in France is a big step. There are choices that shape your daily life, your financial picture, and your long-term happiness.
Most people need guidance — and there’s nothing wrong with that.
A move like this is easier when someone helps you think through:
• the right region for your lifestyle
• what your daily life will actually look like
• where you’ll fit culturally
• what your budget supports
• what “home” in France really means for YOU
Instinct is wonderful.
A plan is even better.
Creating the Life You Want
My life in Uzès didn’t happen because I was brave. It happened because things aligned at the right moments. But building a new chapter in France — one that truly works — starts with understanding yourself and what you want your days to feel like.
Here’s the truth:
A new life in France doesn’t start when you move. It starts when you plan.
Why Planning Matters More Than Ever
France is magical, yes — but magic alone doesn’t build a stable, joyful life. If you want this move to be more than a Pinterest board or a wish, you need a clear path and someone who knows how to guide you.
Today’s video takes you into that next step.
It’s the beginning of looking at your future in France with intention, not impulse.
