When it’s your first visit to Paris, how do you decide what to do? There are so many ways you can go and things to see in just 3 days in Paris.
Last year, this time, I was in Paris celebrating a landmark birthday with one of my best friends from North Carolina. It was her first time in Paris. So, of course, we had to make the rounds of the places she had heard and dreamed about.
The Paris tour allowed me to see Notre Dame for the last time in its glory. We did something I’ve never done, too. We rode the elevator to the top of the Eiffel Tower. What a thrill! And what a fascinating story about the tower’s early beginnings.
Did you know the people of Paris disliked the Eiffel Tower when it was built? They thought it was ghastly. It gained appreciation not until it was used as a watchtower during the War. Imagine Paris without the Eiffel Tower!
